4 still in hospital, 75 discharged after Hong Kong’s Tai Po fire

Following the deadly Tai Po fire in Hong Kong in November of last year, four injured individuals remain hospitalized in stable condition as of Thursday. Health authorities have discharged 75 others who were injured in the Wang Fuk Court fire, which claimed 168 lives. The government spokesman stated that healthcare staff will continue providing treatment and care to the remaining patients. All fire-related injuries treated at public hospitals will receive full fee waivers for necessary medical treatment throughout their recovery. The Hospital Authority has provided healthcare services to approximately 1,900 residents affected by the fire. All residents of the estate's eight blocks were eligible for full medical fee waivers until December 31, covering a range of healthcare services.
