Israel announces it killed one of the architects of the Oct 7 attacks

Israel announced the death of Ra'ad Sa'ad, head of Weapons Production Headquarters in Hamas' military wing, on Saturday. The IDF stated that Sa'ad was one of the architects of the October 7 attacks and a senior Hamas militant. According to the IDF, Sa'ad was working to reestablish Hamas' capabilities and weapons manufacturing in Gaza, violating the U.S.-brokered ceasefire. The IDF official told Fox News that Israel is permitted to strike targets actively engaged in terrorism under the ceasefire agreement. Sa'ad, a former Gaza Brigade commander and one of the founders of Hamas' military wing, was considered one of the highest-ranking Hamas members remaining in Gaza and was privy to Hamas leadership matters. The IDF and ISA said Sa'ad was responsible for the deaths of many soldiers killed in Gaza by explosives manufactured by the Weapons Production Headquarters.
