Police deploy drones, ‘stealth cars’ as 10 drivers arrested for alleged street racing

Ten drivers have been arrested for allegedly taking part in illegal street races on a Hong Kong highway, with police deploying drones and unmarked high-performance vehicles to capture the suspects’ activities and apprehend them.The force revealed on Tuesday that the suspects, comprising nine men and a woman aged between 25 and 51, were arrested between August 3 and 10 on suspicion of dangerous driving in a traffic police operation along Kwun Tong Bypass, a major highway in East Kowloon.“Some arrested drivers drove at extreme speeds, weaving in and out of traffic recklessly,” said Pun Chun-ho, a senior inspector in police’s Traffic Kowloon East enforcement and control division.
