(AP) — Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was taken off the field in an ambulance after being injured on the opening kickoff Saturday night in a preseason game against the New England Patriots. The Eagles announced that Jackson had strength and movement in all extremities and had been taken to a hospital for further evaluation. Jackson was on the kickoff team and it was unclear if he was involved on tackle but laid motionless after New England’s Lan Larison was tackled at the 25. Trainers rushed in almost immediately as medical personnel from both teams attended to Jackson. They quickly called for a backboard and ambulance. Players from both teams knelt near the sideline as he was strapped onto a stretcher. Eagles players then surrounded Jackson briefly before he was loaded into the ambulance. Jackson could be seen briefly raising his left arm.
