Quarterback Tommy Castellanos has committed to play for No. 12 Texas Tech this season. This decision follows a Kentucky judge granting him a temporary restraining order for a fifth season of college football eligibility, a move made after the NCAA denied his waiver request to play another year at Florida State. Castellanos, who previously played at UCF and Boston College, brings significant college game experience to Texas Tech. His commitment comes as Texas Tech's expected starter, Brendan Sorsby, was declared ineligible due to gambling issues. Castellanos will join a quarterback room that also includes returner Will Hammond.
