Hong Kong police arrest 2 from clinic over sales of bogus ‘cancer vaccine’

Hong Kong authorities have arrested a man and a woman from a clinic on suspicion of selling a laboratory reagent as a fake cancer vaccine. The arrests were made following a joint operation by the Department of Health and police, which also involved raids on 13 premises connected to the company. According to Frank Chan Ling-fung, an assistant director of health overseeing drug matters, the substance was marketed as a vaccine against over 20 types of cancer. The authorities have not received any reports of illness from individuals who received the purported "WT1 cancer vaccine."
