The NBA has concluded its investigation into salary cap circumvention by the Los Angeles Clippers during Kawhi Leonard's tenure, imposing significant penalties including a $30 million fine, forfeiture of five first-round draft picks, and a one-year suspension for owner Steve Ballmer. Kawhi Leonard was fined $700,000 but not suspended. This resolution could allow a previously agreed-upon trade sending Leonard back to the Toronto Raptors to proceed, a deal that was put on hold pending the investigation's outcome. The trade would involve the Raptors sending Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, draft picks, and pick swaps to the Clippers. Leonard, a two-time NBA champion, is coming off his highest-scoring season.
