China launches plan for 3D satellite network to monitor sun and cosmic explosions

China has initiated an international project to construct a three-dimensional satellite network positioned between Earth and the moon. This network aims to monitor solar activity and investigate powerful cosmic explosions. Over the next approximately four years, the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory will lead the deployment of 30 backpack-sized CubeSats into highly elliptical orbits around Earth. The laboratory stated that this constellation will address a global deficiency in systematic observations of cislunar space. Participating nations in this endeavor include Egypt, Indonesia, Senegal, Serbia, and Thailand.
