4 dead in Ukraine after Russian missile and drone attacks on industrial cities

Russia fired ballistic missiles at the southern Ukrainian industrial cities of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad overnight, killing at least four people and wounding six, the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksandr Hanzha, said on Telegram on Tuesday.The casualties occurred in Dnipro, he said, where people are still believed to be trapped under the rubble of a hit industrial facility.The Russian Defence Ministry confirmed attacks on Ukraine’s metals, chemicals, energy and arms industries, in a Telegram post. It said cruise missiles and combat drones were used in addition to missiles.In the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, air raid alerts sounded several times overnight. A fire broke out at the facility, according to the reports.A drone attack on industrial facilities killed one person and damaged civilian objects but had otherwise been repelled, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev wrote on Telegram.
