Bradfield MP Nicolette Boele spent more than $2.2m on election campaign – the most of any teal independent

Nicolette Boele, the newly elected MP for Bradfield in Sydney, spent $2.26 million on her 2025 election campaign, the highest amount spent by any teal independent. Boele's campaign spending surpassed that of other prominent teal independents like Allegra Spender and Monique Ryan, who spent $2.1 million each in the 2022 election cycle. Boele narrowly defeated Liberal candidate Gisele Kapterian to win the seat by a mere 26 votes. Almost $700,000 of Boele's campaign funding came from Climate 200. The data highlights the significant financial resources deployed in the competitive race for the Bradfield seat.
