Marwan Barghouti, ‘Palestine’s Mandela’, to publish book from prison

Marwan Barghouti, a prominent imprisoned Palestinian political leader, will have a collection of his writings published in English on November 5th by Penguin. Titled "Unbroken: In Pursuit of Freedom for Palestine," the book compiles letters, interviews, and documents from his three decades of political life and incarceration. Barghouti, a member of Fatah, has been held in Israeli prisons since 2002 after being convicted on terrorism charges, which he denies. Seen by some as a potential leader for a future Palestinian state, Barghouti's book will include private letters, correspondence with public figures, and extracts from his book "1,000 Days in Solitary Confinement." The book aims to offer insight into his experiences and perspectives on the Palestinian cause.
