Hong Kong’s Li Ka Shing Foundation gifts 5,000 Disneyland tickets to domestic helpers

The Li Ka Shing Foundation and the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort are offering 5,000 domestic helpers a free trip to the theme park this year under an expanded programme.The charitable foundation, established by tycoon Li Ka-shing, said on Tuesday that the number of helpers receiving free trips would increase from 4,000 last year to 5,000. The initiative will also include more nationalities, extending beyond the Philippines to workers from Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Thailand.The free trips will be offered on March 29 and April 12.Each participant will receive a one-day admission ticket to the park on Lantau Island, meal vouchers covering two full meals and a special snack, and an Octopus card for transport, with a total value of more than HK$1,000 (US$128).The charitable foundation, established by tycoon Li Ka-shing, has increased the number of domestic helpers receiving free trips from 4,000 last year to 5,000.
