Global pharmaceutical company Pfizer and biotech firm Amgen are among 22 strategic firms planning to expand their presence in Hong Kong. The companies, valued at over HK$1 trillion (US$153 billion), will join other industry leaders from fintech, cloud computing, and aerial transport sectors. This move marks the sixth cohort under the government's investment-attraction initiative since its launch. Pfizer is a leading global research-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with a market capitalisation of HK$1.2 trillion as of April. The expansion plans are part of a broader effort to attract strategic enterprises to Hong Kong, aiming to boost economic growth and development. The agreements will be signed with the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises.
