More than 240 Wang Fuk Court homeowners petition administrator to hold meeting

Over 240 homeowners from Hong Kong's fire-ravaged Wang Fuk Court have petitioned the government-appointed administrator to convene an extraordinary general meeting. The petition, submitted in late April, represents more than 12% of the households. The owners stated they may pursue legal action, potentially through the Lands Tribunal, if their request is not met within 45 days, as stipulated by the Building Management Ordinance. They are requesting the meeting be held on a weekend, with government representatives present and media invited, at a venue accommodating over 1,000 people. The homeowners aim to discuss matters related to the building's management and recovery following the fire.
