Hong Kong firm eyes untapped market with launch of tailor-made electric minibus

Hong Kong-based Wai Lik New Energy has partnered with mainland Chinese manufacturer Wisdom Motor to launch a new electric minibus designed for the city's unique road conditions. Unveiled on Monday, the tailor-made vehicles are engineered to navigate narrow streets and steep gradients, addressing a specific market need. This launch aligns with the Hong Kong government's goal to phase out fossil-fuel commercial vehicles by 2035. Wai Lik New Energy anticipates delivering the first of these electric minibuses in the third quarter of this year, offering a localized solution for the city's evolving transportation landscape.
