Have Chinese defence firms broken the sniper rifle range record – again?

Two Chinese defense companies have issued statements hinting at a potential new long-distance shooting record. On April 28, Chongqing Changjiang Electric Appliances Industries Group, an ammunition manufacturer, announced an unspecified product had "successfully refreshed the world record for similar products" during a specialized test. The following day, Hunan Huanan OptoElectronic Group, a military optics supplier, stated its product was used in a "sniper-specific test" and "again supported the system in refreshing a world record in the same field." These announcements suggest a record in long-distance shooting may have been broken, with both companies claiming their respective products played a role in achieving this feat.
