Hong Kong airport records 13% year-on-year rise in passengers, flights up 5.1%

Hong Kong International Airport experienced a significant increase in activity during the first four months of the year. Passenger traffic rose by 13% compared to the same period last year, while flight movements saw a 5.1% increase. The Airport Authority reported that the Easter holiday specifically contributed to a surge in April, with the airport handling over 5.6 million passengers and 34,000 flight movements. This represented year-on-year growth of 9.4% for passengers and 5.5% for flights in April. The authority noted that daily passenger traffic peaked on April 3rd, exceeding 210,000 passengers.
