Hong Kong tribunal rejects request to postpone Wang Fuk Court owners’ meeting

The Hong Kong Lands Tribunal has rejected a request from a government-appointed administrator to postpone an owners' meeting for Wang Fuk Court. Presiding officer Gary Lam Chin-ching ruled that the tribunal does not have the authority to extend statutory deadlines for convening such meetings under the Building Management Ordinance. He directed Hop On Management Company to hold the extraordinary general meeting immediately, aiming for June 13. This decision means the meeting must proceed as scheduled, despite the administrator's request for a delay. The tribunal's judgment stated the ordinance does not grant it power to alter these deadlines.
