2 drivers hurt as Audi flies across central divider in Hong Kong road crash

A driver escaped serious injury in Hong Kong after a car vaulted over the central divider on Tuen Mun Road and slammed into his seven-seater vehicle.Police said the seven-seater was travelling in the fast lane towards Yuen Long near the Gold Coast in Tuen Mun when the driver of an Audi SUV on the opposite carriageway suddenly lost control at about 9.20pm on Sunday.The Audi flew across the central divider, knocked down a lamp post and landed near the seven-seater in a scene reminiscent of a Hollywood film.The two vehicles were badly damaged in the collision. Photo: Facebook/pttthkThe seven-seater braked and attempted to dodge the incoming car, but was struck by the rear of the Audi.The impact forced the seven-seater into the slow lane, severely damaging its front end, with sparks and smoke rising from the wreckage. The Audi was also badly damaged.Both drivers were injured in the collision and taken by ambulance to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.The crash led to lane closures on both sides of Tuen Mun Road near the Gold Coast.Kowloon-bound lanes were later reopened first. Congestion on the Yuen Long-bound carriageway stretched back to the Tuen Mun Road bus interchange.
