Court extends order against college finance chief in HK$25m embezzlement case

A Hong Kong court has extended an injunction against the finance chief of Hong Kong Chu Hai College, his wife, and two other individuals. The order prevents them from handling over HK$25 million in allegedly misappropriated funds. The High Court also mandated that the four defendants disclose all assets valued at HK$50,000 or more within 21 days. This disclosure is intended to assist the college in identifying assets potentially linked to the case. The finance director, Ray Yip Kam-chun, appeared in court for the first time since being sued by the college for allegedly embezzling funds by disguising illicit transactions as legitimate expenses.
