‘Number of missing rising’: Filipino helpers in Hong Kong rally for aid after quake

Filipino domestic workers in Hong Kong have initiated a month-long fundraising drive to assist families impacted by a recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake in southern Philippines. Organizers from the Abra Tingguian Ilocano Society are collecting donations at various locations, including outside City Hall in Central, with a goal of raising at least HK$20,000 (US$2,550). The most urgent needs identified are food, drinking water, and medicine for affected communities, particularly in Mindanao and other severely impacted areas. The campaign aims to provide essential relief to those affected by the natural disaster.
