EU leaders sign joint statement in support of Ukraine - Europe live

EU leaders have signed a joint statement in support of Ukraine, mirroring a similar action by G7 leaders earlier in the week. The G7 leaders had called on Russia to engage with the peace process. In a separate development, a majority of EU member states are advocating for the full utilization of offshore deportation hubs for individuals without the right to remain in the bloc. Some of these initiatives are already operational, such as the cooperation between Italy and Albania, with other countries actively working to implement these new possibilities, including hubs located in third countries.
