Chinese scientists love Blackpink’s Jennie so much they named a fish after her

Chinese researchers have named a newly discovered fish species after K-pop star Jennie Ruby Jane of Blackpink. The tiny, black-and-yellow fish, measuring less than an average fingernail, was found near southern China's Pearl River estuary. The master's student who discovered the species stated that Jennie was a "constant source of inspiration." The fish has been scientifically named *Brachygobius jennie* and represents the first bumblebee goby found in China. This discovery, published in the journal *Zoosystematics and Evolution*, may serve as a model for studying vertebrate miniaturization.
