Kennedy Town walkway plan needs rethink to match local vibe: harbourfront body

The chairman of Hong Kong's Harbourfront Commission, Ivan Ho Man-yiu, has called for revisions to a land reclamation proposal for a walkway in Kennedy Town. Speaking on Monday, Ho stated that the current design for the offshore walkway at Kennedy Town Praya does not align with the neighbourhood's "city mood" or ambience. Commission members have expressed concerns that the design is inconsistent with the local atmosphere, a sentiment Ho shares. The proposal aims to create a tourist selfie spot, but the commission believes the design needs to be rethought to better suit the district's character.
