Lawmaker William Wong arrested over alleged drink-driving crash at CUHK campus

Hong Kong lawmaker William Wong Kam-fai has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, careless driving and failing to stop and report after an accident, after allegedly crashing into two vehicles.A source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday that the 66-year-old, an associate dean at the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s (CUHK) Faculty of Engineering, allegedly lost control of his vehicle at about 10.46pm on Monday at a staff residence on the university campus, crashing into a parked car and pushing it into a second vehicle.Wong then drove away from the scene and parked his car outside another staff residence. A security guard reported the incident about 30 minutes later.
