The Hong Kong Observatory may issue a No. 1 typhoon standby signal between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. This potential signal serves as a warning for the city to prepare for heavy rainstorms. The Observatory stated that an area of low pressure located over the northern part of the South China Sea is expected to move closer to the coast of Guangdong.
