The boys are believed to be known to each other, a police spokesperson said. “Officers are currently conducting patrols of the nearby area and appealing to anyone who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police,” the spokesperson said. It is the second school stabbing in Queensland this week. In the separate incident, police charged a 15-year-old boy from Kanimbla, in far north Queensland, after allegedly stabbing another boy at a Cairns school on Monday. The 15-year-old boy was charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail on Monday and was due to appear in the Cairns children’s court on Tuesday.
