Mainland schools for Hong Kong pupils beat city average in university entrance exams

Two schools in mainland China, approved by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, have reported that the majority of their students passed the core subjects in Hong Kong's Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) exams. These four Greater Bay Area schools are the only mainland institutions authorized to register students as school candidates for the DSE. Following the release of the DSE results on Wednesday, these two schools indicated that their students achieved at least Level 3 in Chinese and English, Level 2 in mathematics, and "attained" in citizenship and social development. This performance surpassed the citywide average for passing these core subjects. Students pursuing the Hong Kong curriculum outside these approved mainland schools must register as private candidates.
