We see settlers attacking Palestinians, although Palestinians will tell you that Israeli settlers do not need an excuse to start attacking Palestinian homes and villages, and in fact we’ve been seeing these settler attacks on the rise.And now, when we talk about today’s incident, according to Palestinians from Tal, they say Israeli settlers started opening fire on Palestinians in the area.But according to Israeli forces, they say it was an attack on Israeli hikers who were in the area.As the bigger picture unfolds and as we’ve been covering this story for so many years, we know that these settlers do not come in peace, they come not just to instigate tension, not just to provoke Palestinians, but sometimes to explore the area in preparation for building more illegal Israeli settlements, outposts.Now, according to the Israeli narrative, they say that one Palestinian managed to take the weapon of some of the Israeli guards who were there to protect some of the Israeli settlers, and that’s when the tension escalated further. But according to Palestinians, it was the settlers who started by opening fire and attacking Palestinians.
