China buys at least 10 more cargoes of US soybeans, traders say

China has purchased at least 10 additional cargoes of U.S. soybeans, according to three Asian traders. These purchases were made by the state-run buyer Sinograin on Wednesday, with at least 10 cargoes scheduled for October-November shipment. This latest acquisition follows recent trade talks between Washington and Beijing. The White House stated that these discussions included commitments from China to buy 25 million tonnes of U.S. soybeans annually and to increase purchases of other American agricultural products. The flurry of soybean purchases is occurring in anticipation of President Xi Jinping's expected visit to the U.S. next month.
