Aktenzeichen XY ... ungelöst

"Aktenzeichen XY...ungelöst" is a long-running German television program on ZDF that presents unsolved criminal cases to the public, seeking information from viewers. The show is newsworthy due to two recent events. Firstly, the broadcast experienced a technical malfunction, briefly showing the "Tagesschau" before a static image and then resuming normally. Host Rudi Cerne did not address the interruption. Secondly, a case featured on the show involving a missing person from Lower Saxony, Germany, who disappeared in 2022 while hiking in the Canary Islands, specifically Tenerife, has been resolved. The young man, then 23 years old, has been declared dead following confirmation by the family's lawyer. This resolution highlights the show's potential impact on real-life cases, even years after initial broadcast.
