Despite the legal challenge, Senegal held a celebration of their initial victory. Adding to the situation, Senegal's captain, Idrissa Gueye, has offered to return the team's medals to Morocco in an attempt to de-escalate tensions. The outcome of the TAS appeal will determine the official winner of the Africa Cup and resolve the ongoing dispute between the two nations.
