Severe Tropical Cyclone Maila is a powerful storm that recently impacted the Solomon Islands. This intensity makes it the strongest cyclone recorded this far north in the Solomon Sea. The cyclone is newsworthy due to the widespread damage it has caused across the Solomon Islands. Currently, Maila is expected to continue moving south-westwards.
