Norovirus, a highly contagious stomach bug, is currently making headlines due to recent outbreaks on cruise ships. In a separate event, French authorities confined over 1,700 passengers and crew to a cruise ship docked in Bordeaux after an elderly passenger died from suspected norovirus, with around 50 others exhibiting symptoms.
