Operation Inherent Resolve

Operation Inherent Resolve, the US-led coalition mission launched in 2014 to combat ISIS, remains active in Syria. Recent news highlights ongoing efforts to sustain pressure on ISIS remnants. CENTCOM reported conducting ten strikes against over 30 ISIS targets between February 3rd and 12th, focusing on infrastructure and weapons storage. Simultaneously, the US military completed the transfer of approximately 5,700 ISIS detainees to Iraq, reflecting concerns about the Syrian government's security capabilities. In a shift of posture, US forces also completed their withdrawal from the strategic al-Tanf Garrison on February 11th.
