Its recent pre-release and availability to select users of Jimeng AI, ByteDance's AI video platform, has sparked significant controversy and a stock rally. The model is capable of generating cinema-quality video with sound and lifelike outputs, intensifying competition in China's AI video sector. However, Hollywood groups, including Disney and the Motion Picture Association, have accused Seedance 2.0 of blatant copyright infringement, alleging the unauthorized use of actors' likenesses and copyrighted content to train the AI.
