Violencia Machista

Violence against women (VAW), also known as gender-based violence (GBV), violence against women and girls (VAWG), or sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), is violence committed against women or girls specifically because they are female. Such violence, often considered hate crime, is primarily committed by men or boys due to historical power dynamics between the genders. Violence against men is the corresponding category, where acts of violence are targeted against males.
