Alcorcón

Alcorcón is a municipality within the Community of Madrid, Spain. It's currently newsworthy due to several ongoing issues. Firstly, the mayor of Alcorcón, Candelaria Testa (PSOE), is advocating for the application of Article 155 of the Constitution to the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, citing a perceived dereliction of duty regarding housing policies. Secondly, the Alcorcón fire department is in the final stages of integrating into the Community of Madrid's fire service, a move that would end its status as one of the few municipalities outside of Madrid capital with its own independent fire department.
