Angel of Independence monument

The Angel of Independence monument, a prominent landmark in Mexico City, serves as a central point for national celebrations and public gatherings. Recently, it has been the focal point for large crowds participating in World Cup celebrations. Tragically, these events have been marred by incidents resulting in fatalities. In one instance, three people, including a 19-year-old woman, died from suffocation amidst massive crowds celebrating Mexico's victory over Ecuador. Over a million people had gathered, primarily around the Angel of Independence, leading to the security concerns.
