The Ardennes is a region in France that has recently been the focus of news due to a double homicide. A couple in their seventies was found dead at their home, leading to the arrest of two minors, one of whom is reportedly the victims' granddaughter and lived with them. The investigation has been classified as a case of assassination. Separately, the city of Reims, located near the Ardennes, saw the appeal retrial of three individuals convicted in the 2019 death of Bastien Payet, who was beaten to death. The accused were again sentenced to 14 years in prison.
