Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains, a national park in Australia, is in the news following the death of a 16-year-old boy. He and a 17-year-old friend were on a camping trip in the Blue Gum forest when they became separated. Emergency services later found the 16-year-old's body in a creek. Separately, Sydney's Northern Beaches council, specifically the area serviced by the Hop, Skip and Jump bus (Manly, Fairlight, and Balgowlah), has gained attention for banning passengers wearing only bikinis or no shirts on its free community bus service. This decision was made in response to complaints from other passengers regarding cleanliness and appropriateness.
