Bowral

Bowral, a town located south-west of Sydney, served as the final destination for an extraordinary charity cycling event. Bob Montgomery, an 82-year-old cyclist, completed a remarkable 3,300-mile (5,300km) journey from Broome, Western Australia, to Bowral. This ride, which he named "One Last Ride," was undertaken to raise funds for motor neurone disease. Tragically, Montgomery passed away peacefully just one day after completing this immense challenge. He was accompanied on his journey by his 18-year-old grandson, Tom Malcolm. The news of his passing, shortly after achieving his ambitious goal, has brought Bowral into the spotlight as the endpoint of this inspiring and ultimately poignant cross-Australia endeavor.
