Brihuega

Brihuega is a town in Spain located on the Madrid-Barcelona high-speed rail (AVE) line. Recently, it has been in the news for two distinct reasons. First, it was the location of a bullfight attended by Tana Rivera, daughter of Eugenia Martínez de Irujo and Francisco Rivera, marking her first public appearance after her relationship with bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey was confirmed. This event drew attention due to the celebrity connections involved. Second, Brihuega is part of a section of the AVE line, specifically between Brihuega and Catalayud, where the Spanish Ministry of Transport is investing 7.2 million euros to improve track conditions. This investment aims to reduce bumps and enhance passenger comfort before installing new 'aerotraviesas' (special railroad ties) that will allow trains to operate at speeds up to 350km/h. This upgrade is significant for improving the efficiency and speed of rail travel between Madrid and Barcelona.
