Camp Mystic

Camp Mystic is a summer camp located in Hunt, Texas. It gained recent notoriety due to a deadly flooding event in July of the previous year (2025) that resulted in the death of a teenager, Wynne Naylor. The camp's potential reopening has become a point of contention. The family of Wynne Naylor sought a temporary restraining order to prevent the camp from reopening, but a Texas judge declined their request. Separately, a Florida woman was criminally charged with online impersonation after allegedly posing as the victim's father and creating a fraudulent GoFundMe campaign to solicit donations.
