Estadio Shakira

Estadio Shakira is a temporary stadium being constructed in Villaverde, on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain, to host Shakira's 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour'. The venue, part of the larger Macondo Park project, will have a capacity of 50,000 people, with 30,000 seated and 20,000 in the pit. It is newsworthy because Shakira is foregoing traditional Madrid stadiums like the Bernabéu or Metropolitano for a custom-built venue for her European residency. Initially, six dates were announced for September 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27, but due to high demand, additional dates in October (2, 3, 4, 10, and 11) have been added, bringing the total to eleven shows. The stadium is expected to be open twelve hours a day during the residency. The construction and use of Estadio Shakira signify a unique approach to concert venues and highlight Shakira's significant cultural impact and popularity in Spain.
