Gorau

Gorau is a location in the Goronyo local government area of Sokoto state, north-western Nigeria. It has recently become newsworthy due to a tragic incident where a boat carrying over 70 people, predominantly children, capsized. The boat was reportedly heading towards farms in the Gorau town area. As of recent reports, at least 46 bodies have been recovered near Gorau, with 16 people rescued and 15 still missing.
