Horn Island

Horn Island is a barrier island located approximately 10 miles off the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It recently became the focus of national attention following the disappearance and subsequent discovery of the body of 18-year-old Nolan Xavier Wells. Wells was last seen on July 4th after a boat trip to the island with friends. While his companions returned home, Wells did not, leading to a two-day search. His body was eventually found off the coast of Horn Island. The family of Nolan Wells has retained civil rights attorney Ben Crump, indicating a potential legal challenge or heightened scrutiny of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
