The Kattegat is a broad strait located between Denmark and Sweden. It recently gained attention following the ill-fated rescue attempt of a humpback whale named Timmy. Timmy was found stranded on a beach in Germany and subsequently transported to the North Sea in an effort to save it. However, this rescue operation was met with criticism from experts who deemed it inadvisable due to the whale's condition. Tragically, the whale was later confirmed dead by Danish authorities, found near the small island of Anholt within the Kattegat.
