Kericho

Kericho is a town located in western Kenya. It is currently newsworthy due to the recent discovery of a mass grave within the town. The grave contained approximately 32 bodies, a significant portion of whom were children and infants. Initial reports suggested the presence of 14 bodies, but the exhumation, authorized by a court order, revealed a much larger number. The discovery was made after young men hired as grave diggers alerted the police. Investigations are ongoing to determine the identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Some bodies appear to have originated from a hospital in a neighboring county.
