Kwara State

Kwara State, located in north-central Nigeria, bordering Niger State, is currently facing a surge in violent attacks by armed gunmen, often referred to as bandits. These groups are known for looting villages, kidnapping residents for ransom, and engaging in widespread destruction. The recent attacks, particularly in the village of Woro, have resulted in a significant loss of life, with estimates ranging from at least 30 to over 200 deaths in separate incidents. Homes and shops have been burned, and dozens of women and children have been abducted.
